The crew from Charlotte Motor Speedway recently took over our Instagram giving you a look inside one of the most spectacular light shows in the Southeast. In case you missed it, check out this recap, and then plan your visit to see legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway all lit up. Whether you’re a first-timer or returning reveler, the 8th Annual Speedway Christmas is sure to make everyone in your family merry and bright.
Start your engine and meander through the sparkling lights-to-music show. The 3.75-mile course now features an overlook that offers the perfect view and festive photo opportunity! Pull in and park the car between turns 3 and 4, then capture your memories and be sure to share the moment using #WhereRacingLives.
After being mesmerized by three million lights, make a pit stop at the Christmas Village. Open Thursday through Sunday, it has everything from a living nativity to photos with Santa. While you’re there, don’t miss out on making s’mores, shopping goods from local vendors and enjoying the petting zoo.
Who says drive-in movies are only for the summer months? Catch Christmas classics on the speedway’s big screen each Thursday-Sunday with FOX 46 Movie Nights. Movies begin at 6:30pm with a second showing starting immediately after.

With its world-famous panoramic view of Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Speedway Club provides the best view of the lights. During Speedway Christmas, the Speedway Club is open to the public! If you’re looking to warm up and enjoy a festive meal amid the dazzling light display, the Speedway Club is the place to go. Be sure to call for reservations!
