Whether you’re planning a golf getaway or just want some time outdoors during a business conference, these places to play offer beautiful scenery in an ideal location. Just minutes from Charlotte, Cabarrus County offers courses to suit all skill levels and plenty of options to kick back over a round of drinks or a meal in the clubhouse afterward.
This 18-hole course was designed by George Cobb. It features a U.S.G.A. rating of 73.5 and a slope of 133. A par 72, the tree-lined course includes challenging holes with water and sand, but is still fit for both avid golfers and beginners. The club includes full-service food and beverage options so you can grab a bite after the game.
This stunning 18-hole Davis Love III Signature Golf Course surrounds 400-acre Kannapolis Lake for unbeatable views. The layout challenges seasoned golfers but is enjoyable for players of all skill levels. The expansive 2-tier practice green includes provides plenty of room for putting and chipping, and getting around is easy with 4.5-miles of concrete paths.
One of only six public golf courses in the state to be rated in the North Carolina Top 100. Bordered by the Rocky River and surrounding wetlands, this course provides gorgeous views of North Carolina’s landscape. The front nine holes have four sets of tees, including PGA Junior tees for young players or beginners. Shoe and club rentals are available for visitors, and stay-and-play packages are available through the Embassy Suites Concord.
