Great dining experiences are an important part of Cabarrus County culture — and we never want to leave our littlest eaters behind! You can find restaurants where kid-friendly themes and menus make for a great meal for everyone. Sometimes, kids can even eat free! So, whether you’re visiting town or just giving your kitchen a break, here are some great family-friendly restaurants to check out.

Johnny Roger’s BBQ & Burgers

3709 Concord Parkway S (corner of Pitts School Road and Highway 29)
Concord

In Concord, head to Johnny Roger’s for a great meal with the whole family. Their menu is tailor-made for families, with all kinds of burgers (they were the first to win Cabarrus Burger Madness in 2021), hot dogs, cheesesteaks, wraps, sides and more — and the kids’ menu includes chicken nuggets, mini corn dogs and kid-sized versions of menu items. On Tuesdays — only at the Concord location — kids eat free all day!

Jake’s, an R&R Bar-B-Que Restaurant

755 Pitts School Road NW
Concord

Craving some great Eastern North Carolina BBQ? You can get an adult-sized portion and a pint-sized meal for the little ones at Jake’s in Concord. Save room for dessert: Their banana pudding and Mississippi Mud are sure to please. And when you’re dining in on Wednesday nights, kids under 12 will eat free. Plus, youngsters will love the model train that runs around the restaurant near the ceiling.

The Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway

A visit to The Speedway Club is always special thanks to views of the legendary Charlotte Motor Speedway racetrack alongside great food and service. Not only will young racing fans love the experience — especially when accompanied by a racetrack tour — but on Friday nights, kids age 5 and under eat free, and kids age 6 to 10 eat between age 50% off when accompanied by a paying adult.

The Bank Food Hall

201 West Ave.
Kannapolis

Everyone want something different? Head to The Bank Food Hall in Kannapolis, located in the historic 1931 Cabarrus Bank Building. There are options for everyone: pizza, sushi, salads, smoothies, a full bar and more. Everyone can get what they want, and then the whole family can get their picture taken next to the “Bonnie and Clyde” getaway car!
