Richard Childress Racing
Founded in 1969, Richard Childress Racing is one of the largest and most storied organizations in NASCAR. RCR is home to two NASCAR Cup Series teams with driver, Austin Dillon in the No. 3 and Kyle Busch behind the wheel of the No. 8. The team also competes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with drivers Jesse Love in the No. 2 and Austin Hill in the No. 21 car.
The RCR Cup Shop offers a large fan walk that overlooks the transporter bay and shop floor providing a bird’s eye view of car assembly and other race preparation activities. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Also located on the 52-acre campus, the Richard Childress Racing Museum and Team Store is a 47,000 square foot facility that once served as home base for Richard Childress Racing and the No. 3 Goodwrench team. The museum offers an eye-opening view into the history of RCR and the team’s contributions to significant moments in NASCAR’s history.
Visit the Museum and Team Store Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 3pm and on Saturday from 9am to 2pm (closed Sunday). The last ticket is sold one hour prior to closing.
