Walter M. Safrit Park

Located in Kannapolis, this neighborhood park features a 17-acre athletic facility with a playground, picnic shelter, two softball fields, a soccer field, restrooms and concession facilities.

Safrit Park also includes a walking trail which is part of the Carolina Thread Trail. This easy, paved trail is 0.2 miles one way and runs along the Irish Buffalo Creek.

The park is open dawn to dusk seven days a week and hours vary by season.
