Baja Fish Tacos

Birritaco, 228 Cabarrus Ave. W, Concord, NC 28025

The flavorful baja fish tacos at Birritaco in Concord are a big hit with our social media community — “especially when washed down with a margarita flight!” Fresh and tasty, they’re a crunchy, toothsome treat. You can enjoy them with other tacos and other traditional Mexican foods (including birria), plus specialty dishes like Mexican ramen, Birria pizza and the Caribbean bowl.

Pot Roast Patty Melt

West Loop Local, 231 West Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081

“Basically any sandwich” at West Loop Local is a favorite, says one follower, but the Pot Roast Patty Melt is a special treat. With bacon jalapeno aioli, pickled onion and provolone on sourdough, it’s mouthwatering.

This was initially just a winter special but is back on the menu due to its overwhelming popularity!

You can enjoy it alongside craft cocktails and other tasty bites at this downtown Kannapolis spot.

Sushi

E Noodles Asian Bistro, 360 Exchange St. NW, Concord, NC 28027

The community loves all of the food at E Noodles Asian Bistro in Concord, a hybrid restaurant that serves foods from across Asia. Sushi is a signature speciality and a favorite among locals.

You can customize your rolls or enjoy specialty ones alongside teriyaki, noodles, wok dishes and a lot more. And don’t forget their drinks, including sake and Asian wine.

Jumbo Shrimp

73 & Main, 1467 N Main St., Mount Pleasant, NC 28124

Located in picturesque downtown Mount Pleasant, 73 & Main is a restaurant and pub located inside a restored historic hosiery mill, which alone would make it a destination. There are two sides to the restaurant: the Mercantile Dining Room, which serves upscale meals, and the Hosiery Mill Pub, where you can get a quick bite and a local beer.

While you’re there, be sure to order the Jumbo Shrimp on the entrée menu: one pound of fresh, delicious shrimp, fried or sauteed, served with house made tartar sauce, cilantro lime coleslaw and cocktail sauce!

Chicken Parmesan

Nonna’s Italian Restaurant & Pizza, 4995 Weddington Road, Concord, NC 28027

You’re home at Nonna’s in Concord, where everything is from scratch — you’ll think you’re in your own Nonna’s kitchen. For a hearty, comforting meal, try the chicken parmesan, a lightly breaded chicken breast topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, served with spaghetti. Nonna’s also makes other traditional Italian foods, including pizzas, salads and desserts. They cater, too!
