New Restaurants

Towel City Announces Weekend Brunch Buffet

Starting September 6-7, Towel City Tavern will offer a rotating brunch buffet featuring exclusive cocktails along with extraordinary views of Atirum Health Ballpark in Downtown Kannapolis.

Held upstairs, both inside and outside on the terrace overlooking the home of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, brunch here will feature a new menu every weekend full of chef-inspired eats, a made-to-order Omelet station, and brunch-only cocktails like the French Toast Martini and Beer-Mosa.

Adults can enjoy for $20 per person while ages 6-12 are just $8, and kids under 5 years old eat free.

Now Open: The Nook

On June 28, Percent Small Batch Brewery held the Grand Opening of their new Concord taproom. This spot is a cool collaboration between local businesses that will keep you fueled up. Percent’s coffee partner, The Perc at The Nook serves incredible coffee and the new dining concept here, For Cryin’ Out Loud, offers smash burgers and hot chicken.

Revitalized Downtown Concord is Open & Growing

On May 3, the community celebrated the completion of the new streetscape along Union Street in downtown Concord with a ribbon cutting and block party.

Since then, public art continues to pop up and many new businesses have opened or are coming soon to the area including Concord Trolley Pub. In addition to the anticipated restaurants above, also coming soon to Downtown Concord are Mulligan’s Golf Club indoor golf simulator opening October 16, and The District Exchange, a mixed-used epicenter inspired by shopping arcades from around the world.

A Fresh Look for The Swanee

Following the gorgeous renovation of Downtown Kannapolis’ other historic theater completed in Spring 2024, this summer brings a fresh new look to the lobby of The Swanee Theatre.

Decked out with new paint, wallpaper and window screening, the design elements honor the window architecture of this historic theatre. The Swanee has a full slate of upcoming live performances to enjoy. Find them all on the Events Calendar.
