Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society Museum

Located in the Mount Pleasant Historic District, the handsome three-story main building of what was the Western Carolina Male Academy established in 1852, is now the Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society Museum and provides a glimpse of 18th to mid-20th century life in Cabarrus County.

The Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society Museum is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from March through mid-December. The museum is closed in January and February for maintenance and updates. The library is open on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by appointment.
