The heart of Cabarrus County’s motorsports scene is Charlotte Motor Speedway, and the two major NASCAR races (the Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America ROVAL 400) at this legendary speedway should be on every fan’s bucket list.

In the spring, both locals and visitors from around the globe come to Concord to experience Memorial Day weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Events fill the entire weekend and culminate with the season’s longest race, the Coca-Cola 600. Come early to enjoy the Speed Street concerts and festivities, and extend your stay to add even more racing attractions to your itinerary.

In the fall, make plans to return for the Bank of America ROVAL 400. It’s a hybrid course — part-traditional oval, part-infield road course — and it’s unlike any other race on the NASCAR schedule.

In addition to NASCAR stock cars, you’ll also see plenty of classic cars at stops like Auto Barn and Morrison Motor Car Museum. And you can enjoy a great meal with a view of the track at The Speedway Club.
