And it’s all in a mild climate that beckons open-air adventurers throughout the year.
The Carolina Thread Trail has some of the most picturesque landscapes in the state for walking, running and biking, and Cabarrus County is home to several segments of this regional network. Mountain bikers of all levels have a place here, too, from the inviting Harrisburg Half trail to the tough climbs and fast downhills of the Rocky River Trail. Plenty of picturesque parks dot the area offering everything from walking and fitness trails to greenways, paddle boats, fishing, sports fields, tennis courts, disc golf courses and more. Plus, seasonal experiences like pick-your-own pumpkin and strawberries join farm fun featuring fresh produce, baby goats and more.
