Rocky River Blueway

This undammed blueway begins in the Town of Midland at Pharr Family Preserve and continues down to neighboring towns for approximately 49 miles providing long distance flatwater kayaking and canoeing opportunities.

Part of the Carolina Thread Trail, this portion of the Rocky River is located near Little Meadow Creek, the site of the America’s first documented discovery of gold at Reed Gold Mine.
