Village Park

Village Park is Kannapolis’ premier park attraction featuring an amphitheater, playground, walking trail, train rides in the Rotary Express Train, plus a lovely open space. Summer features at the amphitheater include “Concerts in the Park” and “Movies at the Park.” The 16-acre park also offers a playground and SplashPad, an aquatic recreation feature that provides endless combinations of interactive play in water that is sprayed, gushed, dumped and poured from play products. There is no standing water, only jets, geysers, water cannons and sprinkler-type amenities designed to get everyone wet.

The Bakers Creek Greenway runs through Bakers Creek Park and connects the 8th Street Greenway and then Village Park.  The planned Irish Buffalo Creek Greenway will run about 5 miles, connecting Bakers Creek Park, Safrit Park, and North Cabarrus Park. The greenway is part of the Carolina Thread Trail.
