This list of spots to hear live music will keep you rockin’ throughout the spring and summer.
Party on the Plaza – Afton Village
Hear some live jazz by Robert Fernandez every Thursday from 6-9 p.m., and live music every Friday and Saturday evening. Beginning the first week of May and running through October, bring your own lawn chair or blanket to the Village Plaza for concerts on the first Friday of every month from 6:30-9:30pm.
Music on Means
Free outdoor concerts in Historic Downtown Concord featuring a variety of regionally recognized entertainment held on Means Avenue beside the beautiful Historic Cabarrus County Courthouse (65 Union Street, South) from 6-9pm.
Rockin’ the Burg
Free, family-friendly community concert series outdoors in Harrisburg at the Town Center on Saturday evenings in spring, summer and fall. Each concert features food trucks, a beer and wine garden and interactive art. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets, and leashed pets are welcome.
Kannapolis Summer Concerts
Free outdoor concerts at the Village Park amphitheater in Kannapolis. A diverse mix of musical genres such as Diamond Rio (August 12) and the ever popular Charlotte Symphony performance (June 30). The City also offers outdoor movies, classic car cruise-ins, minor league baseball and fireworks.
Sip some small-batch craft beer and listen to live music at several area pubs and breweries. Cabarrus Brewing, High Branch Brewing, Lil Robert’s Place, Twenty-Six Acres Brewing and more.
