Near Exit 49/Speedway area, Famous Toastery is a homegrown brunch spot that’s not to be missed. Breakfast and lunch are both served until they close at 3pm. At dinnertime, follow the mouth-watering smoky scent to the patio at Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q for a true southern spread.
In Downtown Concord, Lil Robert’s Place is a funky, local staple serving up pub fare, great beer and live music. Order a snack at the bar and head to the patio out back or snag a front row seat and take in the happenings along Union Street.

Watch the sunshine fade into twinkle lights on the elevated deck at High Branch Brewing Co. Next door, choose from picnic tables right off the taproom or snag a spot under an umbrella in the beer garden at Cabarrus Brewing Company. With such cool settings, it made be tough to leave these taprooms. But when beautiful weather beckons, these outdoor options are on point.
